About Me

Hello world!

So I am Sally, a second year master student at Cornell University‘s communication department. I started this blog on my last birthday (yeah, right, i am gonna tell u which birthday that was :P ). So far, I’ve been enjoying putting dips of my thoughts, interests, things that I’ve experienced, read or felt on this little cyber space here. A couple of things you may find here are: communication, especially computer-mediated communication and computer supported collaborative work, cause basically that is what I have been learning at Cornell and the collaboration technology lab right now. I recently got in very interested in social media, and how things like social network sites (FB, twitter, etc.) can be used in product marketing and public/media relations. Just had my first article posted on a Chinese social media marketing site, and will keep writing, commenting and translating related articles on this topic.

A dramatic change of my life is coming up soon as I will be graduating in this May and I need to decide whether I am going to stay in Cornell for another three year to get a PhD or bravely jump into the mess of real world and job hunting, which seems to be very very difficult in this economic downturn. But anyway, life will bring me to wherever it thinks best suits me, just like what it did two years ago, so we will see.

Although there are millions of uncertainty coming up in my life, work, study, relationships, etc., but one thing I have no doubt at all is that I will keep writing (maybe talking) to my dear Nuttyear’s.

Sally
